Celebrated hand-iced biscuit company The Biscuiteers are to open their very first boutique and cafe in Notting Hill on Monday 5th November 2012 – a Biscuit Boutique and Icing Cafe featuring biscuits, cakes and chocolates that are entirely handmade and iced by hand!
Notting Hill’s new Biscuit Boutique will offer hand-iced biscuits, chocolates and cakes like never before! Unique collections of biscuits and cakes – baked daily – will be available, as will re-inventions of biscuit classics and twists to old favourites such as cupcakes and macaroons. The famous Biscuiteers tins of biscuits and chocolates will also be on sale, and will be available to be delivered!
At the Biscuiteers Icing Cafe, you can pop in with your little ones, choose from the daily selection of biscuit designs, plus icing colours and decorations – and then sit back (perhaps with a hot drink) to let them work their creative skills! Their creations can then be packed in a hand illustrated card box to take home or – fantastically – popped into the biscuit-post to be posted to a relative or friend that would love to see their biscuit creation.
The Icing Cafe will also be available as a venue for children’s icing parties where young bakers and their friends can bake and ice biscuits to take home. With a wide range of design themes available (including fairy princess, ballet dancers, zoo dancers, the Wild West and many more), they will surely have something to fit the bill for your child’s ideal party.
If you’re getting a little jealous at the thought of the kids having all the fun, Private Icing Parties are also on offer! Whether it’s for a hen party, a birthday or another occasion, the private parties will be hosted in the boutique with fizz laid whilst groups to be guided through all of the Biscuiteers icing tricks and techniques.
Alternatively, you may be interested in the Biscuiteers seasonal master classes and icing workshops. Price at £60 (plus VAT), these intimate classes of no more than ten people will give you the opportunity to work closely with the icing experts, and see you leaving the class with a beautiful tin of biscuits – not to mention icing secrets and techniques to try at home! A number of themed classes are to take place in the run up to Christmas, including Iced Christmas, Nutcracker and Baubles.
The Biscuiteers were founded in 2007 by husband and wife team Stevie Congdon and Harriet Hastings, who are co-directors of leading London catering company Lettice. Named as one of “Britain’s most innovative, disruptive and creative young brands” in the Future 50 Awards and winners of ‘Best Food Gift Website’ in the Sheerluxe Online Shopping Awards in 2010 and 2011, the Biscuiteers products are currently stocked in Selfridges, Harrods, Fortnum & Mason and The Conran Shop, amongst other places.
More on The Biscuiteers and their beautiful products can be found on their website at www.biscuiteers.com – but I think we’ll all see each other at the Biscuiteers Boutique on Monday 5th November!
