About The Rugby Portobello Trust

The Rugby Portobello Trust (RPT) has been supporting vulnerable children and young people in North Kensington for 140 years. At present, they support 1,400 children in the community through academic support, sports, art, music, employment workshops, mental health and wellbeing sessions, skills-building support and off-site trips. They also offer services to local mothers and carers to help them build strong, healthy relationships with their babies and young children which, in turn, helps support the entire family unit.

The Rugby Portobello Trust’s programme runs six days a week throughout the year – even during the school holidays. They offer essential educational support as well as teaching young people to stay safe, and how to improve in areas such as teamwork and communication, for example; essential skills that they can take forward to every stage of their lives. The RPT’s programmes, trips and activities are either free or heavily subsidised. This allows the RPT to be open and accessible for those who need them most.
