Locals will have been intrigued by the smart new Ruby Zoe hotel as it’s gone up on Notting Hill Gate, and are surely pleased to see that it’s finally opened!
In even more exciting news, the hotel has announced a “Key Keeper Finders” Treasure Hunt that will be taking place between 20th and 24th September 2023 with some fantastic prizes to be won, including drinks for two at the hotel’s bar or – amazingly – a two-night stay at the hotel!
Ruby Zoe’s “Key Keeper Finders” Treasure Hunt
10 vintage keys will be hidden in and around Notting Hill from 20th to 24th September 2023, and daily clues about their location will be released on the @rubyhotels Instagram page.
This treasure hunt is the perfect way to have some fun in the neighbourhood, and whilst you’re searching for the keys you may also discover something new – a fancy boutique, an awesome cafe, a proper place for a pint or a new fashion gem on the market – that you’ve not encountered before.
Everyone is welcome to enter the treasure hunt, and you could also be in with a chance to win a prize even if you don’t find a key! If you simply tag @rubyhotels and #keykeeperfinders on Instagram with your experiences of the treasure hunt, you’ll be entered into the draw to also win a two-night stay at the hotel.
So, to recap, if you find a key, you’ll automatically unlock a drinks voucher for two at Ruby Zoe. Return the key to Ruby Zoe and you’ll win a two-night stay with breakfast for two people!
And even if you don’t find a key, just tag the hotel on Instagram and you’ll be in with a chance of winning a drinks voucher for two and a two-night stay at Ruby Zoe!
About Ruby Zoe
Opened in July 2023, Ruby Zoe’s 173 rooms are spread over six floors of a brand-new building on Notting Hill Gate that is also home to a 455-square-metre public area on the ground floor. The space includes a spacious bar for locals and guests to grab a coffee or a refreshing drink and a retail area with a vinyl store. The vinyls are curated by Ruby’s resident artists and are available to buy.
The whole design of the hotel has been inspired by the area’s local history and its Caribbean heritage in particular. Ruby Zoe’s relaxed and welcoming interior is full of colour, musical references and weathered surfaces – all inspired by the colours of Portobello Road, the 1970s and Caribbean islands – establishing a wonderfully cosy atmosphere.
This autumn, a specially commissioned artwork by British-Trinidadian artist Zak Ové will take pride of place on the hotel’s façade. The installation – inspired by the traditions, flair and freedom of carnival and masquerade – will consist of eight floor-to-ceiling glass mosaic panels that will frame the exterior of the entrance to Ruby Zoe. The panels will form a billowing, vibrant carnival parade that celebrates the area’s rich heritage as well as Ové’s own heritage and connection to Notting Hill.
Rooms at Ruby Zoe
The Ruby Zoe hotel also follows Ruby’s Lean Luxury philosophy: affordably offering high-end amenities with the essentials in a city-centre location. Ruby Zoe’s rooms are brand typical with open washstands and glass rain showers, fresh white features and wall panelling made of cherry wood. Artwork above the beds celebrates the colourful houses of Notting Hill.
The four room categories on offer include the friendly 15-square-metre NEST Room; 17-square-metre COSY Rooms; LOVELY Rooms that are perfect for weekends for two, ranging in size from 18 to 24 square-metres; and WOW Rooms that give up to 30 square metres of space.
Rooms at Ruby Zoe are priced from £180 per night for a single room excluding breakfast. For more information, please see www.ruby-hotels.com/en/hotels-destinations/london/ruby-zoe.
