Hot on the heels of last year’s very popular cupcake-themed Notting Hill shopping bag (designed by Natalie Imbruglia, no less) is a brand new bag featuring a beautiful design that will no doubt strike a chord with many locals!
This time round, the Notting Hill Shopping Bag Company’s latest creation features the eye-catching design (as shown below) of 10-year-old Chanay, a pupil at Middle Row Primary School in North Kensington. Chanay has drawn a wonderful depiction of the iconic Trellick Tower in an array of lovely colours.
The Notting Hill Shopping Bag Company are producing their series of bags as a community project, raising money for good causes (10% of profits go to these causes) as well as aiming to reduce the usage of and reliance on plastic bags. Other previous bags have also featured designs from pupils of primary schools in the local area, and future designs can be expected from children at Oxford Gardens School and St Stephen’s School. [My note: what a wonderful idea to use childrens’ designs!]
The limited edition bag is already on sale (price £4) and can be purchased at shops and stalls along Portobello Road or online at www.nottinghillbag.com.
