There’s another fabulous event at The Tabernacle this Thursday, 12th May 2011 in aid of a very good cause. The Marvellous Medicine Ball and Auction is being held to raise funds for the Chelsea Community Hospital School, and will feature a champagne reception, live music, supper, dancing and – of course – a charity auction. Special guests will be entertaining attendees on the night, including 1940s-inspired swing band The Bomshellettes.
The Chelsea Community Hospital School provides education for children and young people – aged from 4 to 18 – that are in hospitals in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea, including Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, the Royal Brompton, St. Mary’s & Collingham Child & Family Unit. Many of these children sometimes face long spells in hospital, and money raised from the Ball will go towards allowing the school to stay open for 50 weeks of the year, as well as helping further the curriculum they offer.
Tickets cost £65 and can be purchased online at http://www.charitygiving.co.uk/fundraising/eventregister_details.asp?event=1951.
