Makino & Notting Hill Arts Club launch their Drum & Bass series on 8th February

On 8th February 2025, Makino and Notting Hill Arts Club are launching their series of Drum & Bass events, under their collaboration title of Makino x NHAC. Beginning with Intabeats, an event brand founded by Makino artist Bailey, the full event series will be curated by Makino, showcasing the artists they represent, connect with and admire.

Intabeats is rooted in beatsploration and inclusivity, and Makino x NHAC’s launch event will reflect the values spanning across all 3 brands; championing well-established musicians while simultaneously scouting and offering a platform to emerging talent.

Following the incredible response to Bailey’s Intelligent D&B mix upload, he’s now bringing this sound to a club setting for the first time ever, with ravers having the privilege of experiencing this on a Funktion-One sound system. Joined by Dom & Roland, SCAR and Frenetic, the event promises a night of Jungle and Drum & Bass which has unfortunately become somewhat of a rarity in West London.

About Makino Agency & Notting Hill Arts Club

The collaboration between Makino Agency and the Notting Hill Arts Club is a natural fit, with both spotting and offering a platform to emerging talent. At a time when Drum & Bass is having a major resurgence and featured in the UK charts more and more – spurring more live shows – this new series offers a platform to artists looking to break into live events or experiment with their sound, giving them more freedom, in a more intimate setting.

Makino works with established DJs and vocalists like Emily Makis, Monrroe & Duskee, Kyrist, GLXY, Satl and SOLAH, as well as nurturing emerging artists like Viridity, Foxi, Yan and ABLE.

Makino Agency may have just celebrated its first birthday, but the Notting Hill Arts Club first opened its doors in 1997. It continues to be a safe space for creative people – those interested in music, art and culture – to enjoy and thrive in its famous atmosphere. The venue offers a real mix of the stars of tomorrow launching their careers with establishing talents offering performances in an intimate setting.
