Disabled and Sexy Fashion Show, 25th October 2010

A group of young people affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy are to put on a fashion show the week after next at The Tabernacle in Notting Hill, to raise awareness and put across the message that people can be disabled and sexy.

The Disabled and Sexy event aims to show that people with disabilities can follow fashion and display individuality just like anyone else. The majority of models are members of the Jennifer Trust – which helps people with Spinal Muscular Atrophy – whilst Sophie Morgan, a contestant on “Britain’s Missing Top Model”, will also be taking part.
Hosted by the ultra-fashionable Jonathan Phang of “Britian’s Next Top Model”, the full event will feature a deluxe champagne and canape reception, three catwalks, speeches, surprise acts and an exclusive auction to raise money for the Jennifer Trust, which will be conducted by Channel 4 news reader Jon Snow, a patron of the Trust.
Tickets cost £30 and can be purchased from www.disabledandsexy.co.uk or by calling 01789 267520.
