Weekend Cheeseboards and wine flights at La Cave à Fromage on Fridays and Saturdays

Come down to La Cave à Fromage this summer to enjoy their special Weekend Cheeseboards and wine flights as they open into the evening for the first time – welcoming customers until 10pm every Friday and Saturday.

A fantastic selection of artisanal cheeses from across the UK and Europe will be available as part of their Weekend Cheeseboards. These offer up a selection of six cheeses – Goats, Bloomy rind, Semi-hard, Hard, Washed rind and Blue – that have all been selected by La Cave’s resident cheese expert, David Deaves. Priced at £10, each Cheeseboard is served with a selection of French artisan breads.

To fully enjoy these very fine cheeses, a specially selected flight of six wines – priced at £22.50 – is also available. Wines in the flight will change over time, but will include some of David’s favourites: a Chevalier Famaey Malbec Rosé from Côtes du Lot, Domaine du Rin du Bois Gamay, a bright red from the Loire or the dessert wine, Maury Tradition, Damaine La Coume du Roy from Languedoc-Roussillion – choices that perfectly complement the cheesenboard. You can also purchase wines by the glass (from £4) or by the bottle (from £19.50).

Don’t forget that La Cave’s popular tasting events continue to take place every Thursday evening as well. For £35, take your pick from one of their Fondue or Raclette nights; learn more about wines from the Loire Valley; or compare products from France and Britain in a cheese and wine stand off! Take a look at www.la-cave.co.uk/events.php for the full line-up of events for the rest of the year; you can book a place at any tasting evening by calling La Cave à Fromage on 020 7221 1000.
