The Coveryard comes to Notting Hill on 21st July

A brand new night of music – with a difference – comes to Notting Hill later this month, bringing together covers and original music performed by up-and-coming artists with eclectic influences.

The Coveryard will be launching its debut night at St Peter’s Church in Notting Hill on Saturday 21st July, with the main part of the night focusing on covers of songs by a diverse range of artists (Radiohead, Chase & Status, The Police, Beyonce and The Beatles to name just a few). Each song will be given a unique twist by the artists performing on the night, who will also play their own original music.

The evening’s headliner will be multi-instrumentalist Abi Wade, who combines a unique style of cello playing with haunting vocals. Mt. Wolf are also performing, bringing their “Dreamfolk” (as they describe their music) – a mix of folk and electronica – to the night. Singer-songwriter Faith Taylor’s acerbic and thought-provoking folk-pop will also be adding its charms to the very first Coveryard.

All the artists will be backed by the thirty-piece live orchestra, the Coveryard Collective, who are made up of London’s finest orchestral and session musicians.

All in all, the evening is sure to fantastic fun, with a real mix of classical, electronica, folk and dance.

Tickets for the event cost £6 in advance or £8 on the door. You can purchase tickets online at www.thecoveryard.co.uk, where you’ll also find full information about the event – or take a look at the Coveryard’s Facebook page.
