Saturday, 23rd October – Flossie Crums author Helen Nathan at Peter Jones

Those looking to kick off their half term with a treat for the kids might like to head down to Peter Jones on Sloane Square in Chelsea this Saturday, 23rd October.

Helen Nathan, author of the Flossie Crums series of children’s books, will be appearing at the children’s department of Peter Jones to read from her books as well as baking and decorating some rather special chocolate marshmallow spider cookies.
The latest book in the Flossie Crums series of “baking adventures” is Flossie Crums: The Enchanted Cookie Tree, which was published in September. The book follows 7 and 3/4-year-old Flossie, her 6-year-old brother Billie and her six best friends as they bake cookies for the Royal Welcoming of Princess Cornflower in the Magical Kingdom of Romolonia.
The books encourage children to learn about cooking and kitchen safety skills as well as teaching them how to bake delicious cookies and cakes. The Enchanted Cookie Tree has a range of recipes with easy-to-follow instructions, including “Meringue Fairy Kisses” and “Maple Syrup Lane Cupcakes”.
Tickets for the event can be booked instore or by calling Peter Jones on 020 7730 3434. The event will last for around an hour.
