Peruvian Nights Supper Club comes to Notting Hill in November

It can’t have escaped your notice that one of the global cuisines that’s becoming ever more popular in London these days is Peruvian. With a rash of Peruvian and Peruvian fusion restaurants popping up all over London in the last few years, it seems it’s now easier than ever to sample South American delicacies and versions of ceviche, lomo saltado and aji de galina. (But perhaps thankfully cuy hasn’t made it over to our shores – Google that to find out what it is!)

A fantastic opportunity to sample a tasty Peruvian menu is coming our way in early November, as holistic chef Sarah Sugden will be hosting a supper club in Notting Hill called Peruvian Nights. The night – hosted in a private dining room – will feature a seven dish tasting menu inspired by Peruvian cuisine and will feature ingredients and items associated and closely linked to the country – from Pisco sour cocktails to sea bass and salmon ceviche, quinoa and corn, causa (a kind of potato cake), and Peruvian sweet dishes, this will be a great way of sampling a range of foods from Lima and beyond.

Tickets for the supper club cost £40 and can be booked online at grubclub.com/the-supper-club-social-peruvian-nights/1767 where you can also see the full menu. Space is limited, so make sure you book very soon!

Originally from Australia, Sarah is now based in London working as a personal holistic chef (with clients including a number of high-profile personalities based in Europe and the US) as well as running her cooking and catering company SomethingfromSarah. Sarah believes that food is at the very heart of our wellbeing; her Peruvian supper club will showcase her inspiration and style of cooking, presenting a menu that’s fresh and vibrant with plenty of seasonal flavours, all prepared in a creative yet unfussy way. You can find out more about Sarah and her company, including its bespoke catering services and small cooking classes, at somethingfromsarah.com.

I attended a French cuisine-themed Grub Club supper club earlier this year…and, needless to say, loved it! To find out more about how Grub Club supper clubs work and to see my review, check out: Review: Fab Cuisine – a Grub Club event.
