New art exhibition – “Come as I am” by Anna Nightingale

A new exhibition at the Doyle Devere Gallery opens tomorrow – “Come as I am”, a collection by Anna Nightingale.

Anna Nightingale, a graduate of Central St Martins College of Art & Design, is an acclaimed abstract expressionist with a number of successful exhibitions to her name. Her painting “9.55am” was auctioned off in February 2010 at a fundraising event for Haiti at the Ivy, prompting a fierce bidding war and eventually being sold for more than a Tracy Emin print.
This collection draws on her experiences of living between London and the Mediterranean island of Gozo, exploring “landscapes of life”. Two of the pieces are crafted using 22 carat gold leaf and platinum leaf, with oil and ink on canvas.
The collection opens on 8th May and will run until 6th June.
