Next month will see a very welcome addition to the restaurant scene in Notting Hill. All-day Lebanese brasserie KINZ<\/a> will open its doors to guests on 27th April 2026<\/strong> at 50 Notting Hill Gate, offering diners an authentic yet contemporary take on Lebanese cooking, bringing together a traditional, personal approach and modern dining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About KINZ <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Set in the grand former Lloyds Bank building, dating back to the 1930s and designed by the renowned architect Sir Edward Maufe, KINZ has been founded by Rasha Khouri Bruzzo – owner of Akub<\/a> – alongside brothers Jad Lahoud and Karim Lahoud. KINZ – the Arabic for treasure<\/em> – has been a major architectural and culinary undertaking, and will very soon welcome diners through its doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019re incredibly excited to bring KINZ to life in Notting Hill Gate. The project is rooted in the food and traditions I grew up with  –  the small details, rituals and flavours that are passed down at home rather than written down. KINZ takes its name from the Arabic word for \u2018treasure\u2019 and is our tribute to those treasures: cherished recipes, generous cooking and the spirit of Lebanese food as it\u2019s meant to be shared today. It\u2019s a place designed to feel as natural for everyday visits as it does for long, lingering meals<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The restaurant’s main dining room – housed in an impressive triple-height ground floor – will feature a canopied bar towards the rear of the restaurant, snuggled under a mezzanine space. The mezzanine itself will offer additional seating, a romantic gallery-like area that will showcase large-format photography of Lebanon by local photographers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

KINZ’s interiors have been designed by FARE INC, with a clean, modern aesthetic that includes subtle references to Lebanese heritage. In particular, the courtyard-style space references Lebanon’s urban character, from extended arches to artisan ironwork, decorated with striped textiles and rustic textures with accents of blue, yellow and deep red, nestled pleasingly against earthy tones. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Growing up in London, Karim and I were surrounded by a strong Lebanese community and the food that defines it. With parents who were both chefs, those flavours shaped how we eat and cook today. KINZ is our way of bringing the spirit of Lebanon to London, not just through the food, but through the atmosphere, the design and every considered detail.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dining at KINZ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The menu at KINZ will present time-honoured recipes that have been passed down through generations, alongside more contemporary dishes. The all-dining experience will take you from breakfast to lunch to dinner, with the restaurant accommodating 130 diners alongside a private room that is available for up to 16 guests. Much of the menu celebrates traditional family rituals, with many dishes recreating the home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breakfast – with items from \u00a312 – centres on egg-based dishes, traditional rolls and sandwiches, alongside more generous options such as a Full Lebanese breakfast designed for the table. Lunch and dinner options will focus on mezze intended for sharing, house-made breads and lighter plates, with small dishes (from \u00a38) such as baba ghanoush and tabbouleh. Larger plates (from \u00a318) will of course also be available, including Lamb Kafta<\/em>, Warak Enab with Koussa<\/em> and<\/em> Lamb Cutlet<\/em> (tender vine leaves and baby courgettes wrapped around fragrant rice and spiced lamb), and Fattet Aubergine <\/em>(baked aubergine layered with pine nuts, tomato, yoghurt and crisp pita).<\/p>\n\n\n

Step through KINZ’s entrance, and you will find its deli that will offer house-made and own-brand typically Lebanese ingredients, including preserves, spice blends and olive oil. You will be able to purchase favourites such as delicate lamb and pine nut kibbehs or crisp spinach and onion fatayers to take home. Or pop by in the morning for their Lebanese pastries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The drinks menu will also feature classic and contemporary offerings, with wine priced from \u00a38 per glass or \u00a330 per bottle. Wine has primarily been sourced from independent wineries, with a strong focus on Lebanese producers. Or enjoy a cocktail from KINZ’s curated menu, with many classic drinks reworked with a subtle Lebanese twist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
