Their most recent local project, <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/index.php\/stories-residence-tales-sunshine-flats-concludes-year-long-kensal-voices-project-22nd-february\/\">Kensal Voices<\/a>,<\/em>&nbsp;centred around Kensal House on Ladbroke Grove; this&nbsp;intergenerational heritage work&nbsp;marked the fascinating history of this Grade II* listed local landmark, whilst also helping&nbsp;the project&#8217;s&nbsp;young participants gain professional and creative skills.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2489\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1.jpg\" alt=\"Trellick Tales - Trellick Tower\" width=\"600\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/1-144x144.jpg 144w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The SPID Theatre Company now turns its attention to another&nbsp;local landmark with an intriguing history &#8211; none other than the Trellick Tower.&nbsp;The year-long project&nbsp;<em>Trellick Tales<\/em> will celebrate the tower, its residents and their history through free weekly drama and heritage sessions for 13-25 year olds, as well as regular showings and performances &#8211; the first of which are&nbsp;on 26th September (1pm and 3pm).<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><em>Trellick Tales <\/em>is also being supported by&nbsp;funding from The Clore Duffield Foundation in association with the Oral History Society and K2K, who are based at South Kilburn Studios, as well as being&nbsp;supported by the&nbsp;V&amp;A.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">Furthermore, the&nbsp;BBC have been attending the&nbsp;SPID Theatre Company&#8217;s workshops to&nbsp;collect&nbsp;footage and interview the participants for a documentary&nbsp;that will be&nbsp;part of their Inside Out London programme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2488\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_5134.jpg\" alt=\"Trellick Tales\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_5134.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/IMG_5134-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\">The young participants of&nbsp;<em>Trellick Tales<\/em> have been attending workshops run by the&nbsp;Oral History Society which has helped them&nbsp;develop interview and recording techniques. In turn, they&#8217;ve used these&nbsp;new skills to collected oral history testimonies from some of the older residents of the Trellick Tower about past estate life.
