From the first pizzetta fresh out of the oven at midday to closing at 11pm, almost 1,400 pizzetta had been given away!<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2234\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/tonda.jpg\" alt=\"Pizzeria Tonda\" width=\"500\" height=\"297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/tonda.jpg 701w, https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/tonda-300x178.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A pizzetta is a smaller version of a pizza, sized at just 6 inches wide, and cooked to order using authentic Italian ingredients. Tonda&#8217;s traditional recipe for pizzetta &#8211; one that does not use animal fat, colourings or preservatives &#8211; has been handed down from father to son; this family-run business\u00a0is originally from Pescara in Italy, where it was founded in the 1950s by Gabriele Ciferni.
