The\u00a0evening\u00a0will also explore the impact she had on culture and music of her time, with music by the lady herself featuring in the programme of chamber music and songs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/image001.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2066\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/image001.jpg\" alt=\"Aspect Foundation for Music and Arts\" width=\"378\" height=\"420\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/image001.jpg 541w, https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/image001-270x300.jpg 270w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 378px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With performances\u00a0by\u00a0mezzo-soprano Olivia Ray, violinist Ania Safonova, cellist Oleg Kogan and pianist Ronan O&#8217;Hora, the programme of music during the evening will be:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Alma Mahler<\/strong> \u2018Laue Sommernacht\u2019 from 5 Lieder; \u2018Der Erkennende\u2019 and \u2018Lobgesang\u2019 from 5 Ges\u00e4nge<br \/>\n<strong>Zemlinsky<\/strong> \u2018Irmelin Rose\u2019 from Irmelin Rose und andere Ges\u00e4nge, Op. 7<br \/>\n<strong>Gustav Mahler<\/strong> \u2018Wenn mein Schatz Hochzeit macht\u2019 and \u2018Ging heut\u2019 morgen \u00fcber\u2019s Feld\u2019 from Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen<br \/>\n<strong>Zemlinsky<\/strong> Three Pieces for cello and piano (1891)<br \/>\n<strong>Korngold<\/strong> Piano Trio in D Major, Op. 1<\/p>\n<p>An\u00a0illustrated talk will also be given by art historian, writer and Christie&#8217;s Education lecturer\u00a0Patrick Bade.<\/p>\n<p>Other concerts this autumn will be:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>15th October<\/strong> &#8211; <strong><em>Paris: The Age of Enlightenment<\/em><\/strong> featuring harpsichordist Mahan Esfahani and historian Philipp Blom<br \/>\n<strong>5th November<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0<strong><em>Prague: Czech Romantics <\/em><\/strong>featuring broadcaster and pianist Iain Burnside and the Zemlinsky Quartet<em><br \/>\n<\/em><strong>4th December<\/strong> &#8211;\u00a0<em><strong>Schumann and Faur\u00e9: Kindred Spirits<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>with\u00a0Philippe Graffin, David Waterman and Alasdair Beatson<\/p>\n<p>Tickets for each concert cost \u00a325 (including wine and refreshments) and can be booked online on the Aspect Foundation <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aspectfoundation.net\/\" target=\"_blank\">website<\/a>\u00a0or by calling the box office on 07799 090 826.<\/p>\n<p>Aspect Foundation for Music and Arts\u00a0presents its novel concert format of &#8216;Music in Context&#8217; by expanding a traditionally auditory experience into something more &#8211; one that fuses performance, lecture and discussion to present an\u00a0evening of music, art history and social culture.
