We’ve written in the past about some of the exciting menus and events taking place at La Sophia – a local favourite on Golborne Road – which most recently included their New Year’s Eve festivities.<\/p>\n

For Valentine’s Day this year, they’re also not disappointing their loyal regulars – as well as welcoming newcomers to come and enjoy this romantic day in their restaurant!<\/p>\n

For Valentine’s Day evening, there’s a special three-course menu on offer, priced at \u00a335 per person.<\/p>\n

Soup: Jerusalem artichoke soup, roasted shallots & white truffle oil & foie gras<\/p>\n

Aubergine mille-feuille, grilled halloumi, chilli, tomato concasse, pecan & parsley pesto (V)<\/p>\n

Hand-dived Scottish scallops, beef chorizo, parsnip & vanilla puree, lemon oil & parsnip crisps<\/p>\n

Steamed wild sea bass fillet, spiced cauliflower, spinach, gremolata & aged balsamic<\/p>\n

Herbs crusted lamb saddle, roasted butternut, saffron potato, black olives & tomato sauce<\/p>\n

Three cheese ravioli, spinach, poached in basil pesto broth, fried heritage tomato & truffle crumbs (V)<\/p>\n

Warm chocolate fondant & vanilla ice cream<\/p>\n

Raspberry cheesecake, raspberry sorbet & mint coulis<\/p>\n

The will also be live jazz in the restaurant throughout the evening, from 6.30pm to after 11pm.<\/p>\n
