These \u201cFetes de Noel\u201d start on December 1st with a three hour course on Chutneys, which provides participants with a selection of fruit chutneys presented in elegant jars which could also make an ideal accompaniment to the Christmas cheeseboard.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/photos_Ck-Schl_Aprons_ORIGINAL.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"Madame Gautier\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/photos_Ck-Schl_Aprons_ORIGINAL.jpg\" width=\"338\" height=\"338\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next is a two-hour course on December 8th, which deals with mince pies. By the end of this course, students will feel confident turning out rich buttery pastry filled with sweet mincemeat, which can be served either hot or cold.<\/p>\n<p>Then, on December 15th, it is time to learn about curds, which again, provides participants with a range of beautifully prepared fruit curds which can also double as Christmas gifts or be consumed on the day itself.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_1407_adjust_lge.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1516 aligncenter\" alt=\"Madame Gautier\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_1407_adjust_lge.jpg\" width=\"510\" height=\"308\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_1407_adjust_lge.jpg 709w, https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/IMG_1407_adjust_lge-300x180.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 510px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Finally, on December 22nd, there is a three-hour course on mastering the art of chocolate truffles. Again, you will end up not only with the knowledge to create your own, but also with a lovely selection of superbly flavoured truffles, which again can be given as a gift, or more likely, consumed three days later. All of these courses cost \u00a345 each and can be taken individually or combined for the special price of \u00a3150. If someone wants to bring a friend along to the individual courses, there is a special price of \u00a375 for two.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Truffles.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" alt=\"Madame Gautier Cookery School\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thehill.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/Truffles.jpeg\" width=\"492\" height=\"330\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Other Cookery School courses range from a two-hour immersion in how to make Bouillabaisse to speciality pastry courses that run over eight sessions. There are also hands-on butchery lessons and Grand Technique courses which include knife skills, fish filleting and how to confit a duck.<\/p>\n<p>Courses are run on a daily basis at Madame Gautier\u2019s custom-built facilities next to their headquarters in West London.
