Getting to Notting Hill by Underground<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Many visitors to London will find that the easiest way of getting to Notting Hill is by Underground. If you’re one of these people, we’d suggest that the best station to arrive at is Notting Hill Gate  (located on the road of the same name) which is on the Central, Circle and District Lines. You’ll arrive right on one of the main roads in the area, and it’s only a short walk up to the area around Portobello Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other stations in Notting Hill include Ladbroke Grove, Westbourne Park and Royal Oak (all on the Hammersmith & City Line), which are to the west\/north-west of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting to Notting Hill by Bus<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are also many buses operating across the whole of Notting Hill, including routes 27, 28, 31, 52, 70, 94, 328 and 452 amongst others – take a look at Transport for London’s Kensington & Chelsea Bus Route maps<\/a>\u00a0for more details. You’ll find that buses operate right through Notting Hill, with many servicing some of the area’s main larger roads such as Notting Hill Gate, Westbourne Grove, Kensington Park Road, Pembridge Villas, Ladbroke Road, Westbourne Park Road and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can easily reach Notting Hill by bus if you’re travelling from Chelsea, Kensington, South Kensington, Knightsbridge, Shepherd’s Bush and Paddington. There are also a number of buses from further afield…but as the journey time can be considerable (taking into account the London traffic), we’d advise taking the Underground instead!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting to Notting Hill from London’s airports<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The closest airport to Notting Hill is Heathrow Airport<\/a>. From there you can either travel by Underground or train into Notting Hill and Central London – take the Piccadilly Line all the way to Earl’s Court, before changing to the District Line (two stops to Notting Hill Gate). By train, take the Heathrow Express<\/a>\u00a0to Paddington Station, before changing for the District Line on the Underground (two stops to Notting Hill Gate).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
