This used to be the famous Travel Bookshop – on which the bookshop in the film Notting Hill (which Hugh Grant’s character owned) was based. Opened in May 2010, this amazing dual concept shop is situated amongst the sophisticated boutiques and restaurants of Ledbury Road. Two fabulous rooms, linked by an arch create individual space for Baby and Kids clothes respectively. With walls adorned in gold wallpaper, the Baby shop sells donated clothing and accessories for newborns to 2 year olds. Retro clothing and toys for Kids have a dedicated space to the front of the shop. At the rear, a small room bursts at the seams with toys and fancy dress clothing for Kids of all ages. Through the arch, the Kid’s shop displays quality girls and boys clothing for 3 to 6 year olds. Light streams in through the square window bay creating a bright book area where the little ones can sit and read. The stairs leading off this room bring you to an area displaying clothes for older children, maternity, nursery accessories and prams.

Diptyque began by selling candles in 1963 from its Parisian premises. Two years later the brand launched its first eau de toilette, and has since built up a repertoire of fragrances that are deliberately devoid of reference to the masculine or feminine. Its Westbourne store stocks extensive collections of eau de toilette, bath and body care, scented candles and interior scents, as well as offering customers the chance to create their own, personalised scent combinations.
