Taking place on 21st and 22nd June – right over the summer solstice and celebrating that magical event – the very first All Saints Road Summer Solstice Festival will see a special weekend of exclusive offers, master clases, food, music and much more that all are sure to enjoy!
This very famous Notting Hill street is one of the last remaining solely independent retail streets in London and it is this that provides a real community spirit to the area – something that many visitors to the area have experienced. The Festival is a perfect chance for everyone attending to learn a little more about the street’s rich history, as well as being able to find out more about the experts behind the specialist retailers that are based on All Saints Road.
Starting at 6pm on Friday 21st June, there will be live music, street food and events held by each individual retailer within their premises, that will all continue late into the evening. On Saturday, the fun will continue and the day will also see special classes and additional entertainment take place. These include curtain and blind specalists Prêt á Vivre hosting master classes in creating beautifully dressed windows; a talk by the Abras Gallery on how to look after your heirlooms; children’s craft activities at the Candy Milliner and Bicycle Workshop; free lessons on how to string a guitar at the Portobello Music store; and a bread making master class at The Tin Shed with master baker Julian Sciascia. Many other fun activities will also be taking place during the Festival.
Many of the retailers will also be offering some very tempting discounts during the festival – to give you just a taster, vintage store The Gathering Goddess will be offering a 10% discount on any purchases over £150 (excluding sale items); physiotherapy and Pilates centre The Practice will offer 20% off all services booked during the festival; Walking on Wood will have an 8% discount on all supply and fit offers placed during the event; and The Jacksons will be offering 10% off their lovely fashions (non sale items).
