Shoot Portobello Photography Treasure Hunt at Westbourne Grove Church - March 28th 2009

The most creative way to spend a day discovering Portobello will be returning to Westbourne Grove Church on Saturday March 28th. The Shoot Portobello photography treasure hunt will be back for it's third year to show participants just how diverse this lively area of London can be.

Last year's event was a great success, becoming one of the most popular Shoot Experience events of 2008. Shoot Experience director Brett Jefferson Stott said 'It's a testament to how much there is to see and do in and around Portobello that this event can return here each year and become a completely unique experience each time.

'We're never short of parts of Portobello to give to our participants as clues and the photos from the day always show an incredible amount of variety.'

The day begins at Westbourne Grove Church, where teams meet to collect their clue sheets. Teams are made up of two to four participants and the treasure hunt has always been enjoyed by people of all ages.

On their clue sheets, participants are given eight clues relating to places you can find in Portobello, and the teams then spend the afternoon exploring this spirited area, solving the clues and taking photos as answers.

Once they've completed all clues, teams return to Westbourne Grove Church to submit their photos, and then relax as a slideshow of the day's images commences and the judging of entries gets underway.

The day finishes with awards for the winning photographs. Fantastic prizes such as Olympus cameras are given for each individual clue and for categories such as best overall and most creative photo. Please see  http://www.shootexperience.com/events/info/141 for more details.
